The school parents' council, SEB for short, introduces itself

What is an SEB?

The SEB (school parents' council) is a parents' committee whose unconditional formation is anchored in the school law (§40 SchulG). He “has the task of promoting and helping to shape the educational and teaching work of the school. The school parents’ council should advise the school, support it, give it suggestions and make suggestions.” The influence that the SEB is legally allowed to have on school matters ranges from the school management’s obligation to at least listen to the SEB on certain topics to decisions in which the school management has the SEB approval required. The SEB has a say in the provision of textbooks, is represented in the school board committee of the municipality and sends representatives to the comprehensive school conference and the school committee.

The Altriper SEB traditionally has a very good and harmonious relationship with parents, teachers and the school management of our primary school. The family atmosphere in Altrip ensures a high level of trust between everyone involved. The high level of commitment on the part of the teachers and parents also contributes to the prosperity of our school, which can be seen again and again at various joint events that are repeated every year.

Who is the SEB?

The SEB is a body elected by representatives of all parents, which is elected for 2 years. The number of members is based on the number of students in the school. The members are often also class parent representatives (KES) in one of the classes. The following people are currently part of the SEB of the Albert Schweitzer Primary School in Altrip.
