Tips for class parent representatives (KES)

Here are some suggestions on how you can do your job well:

- Family List: With parental consent, make a list of names, children's names, phone number, location, and email address.

- Class fund for smaller activities: Set up a fund with a small monthly contribution that can be collected for hiking days and excursions.

- Finding a class/getting to know each other: Initiate a parent get-together or a class event with a small student program.

Parents' evenings:

Invite (in consultation with the class teacher) to a class parents' evening at school once or twice a semester.

o Invitation (except for election evening) by KES (in writing, coordinate room and date with KL beforehand)

o Clarify the program (e.g. about upcoming events or to discuss new subjects with subject teachers, set your own focal points)

o Time setting, create and stick to a schedule with room for discussion

o Written summary (protocol) to class parents, but possibly also to SEB

Annual Event Schedule:

Create an overview of internal class events together with the class teacher.

Parents' evenings, excursions, joint family class reunions, graduation trip, graduation dinner/barbecue

In-class lectures:

Organize lectures and information events for your class on current or preventive topics in cooperation with the SEB or the school management.
